  1. Wow, where did this year go? I know everyone always says that, but this past year really flew for me. 1) What will you start doing in 2018 that you are not doing in 2017? My online journey has been exciting and soul crushing all at the same time. When I look back, the soul crushing moments were probably the one's that were little issues where the obvious was out to mess with my head. Those moments did teach me to quit making things harder than they should be, most of the time. I have met some really neat people, online and offline, and through them have slowly been building a nice little income. The best part, I no longer annoy the hell out of my wife with my hunt and peck typing skills (I moved my work space to another room)! 2) What will you stop doing in 2018 that you are currently doing in 2017? The mistakes I have made, made my "I'm going to stop thinking I need to know everything before I actually start." harder to learn, practice than I thought. "Oh, this doesn't look hard at all", really schooled me. Looking back, I laugh a lot at the hours spent figuring out a 10 minute fix. I've lightly attempted social media. I had no idea that people would actually want to hear what I have to say. Strange and fun at the same time. For the end of the year, I am writing down my plans as they come to me. They're kind of lofty, but it feels good to set my bar high!
  2. Thanks gnojham. I assumed it was some sort of typo. I thought it might have been glass, permanent lenses?
  3. Is it just me, or was that site designed to mess with your eyes? What is We are not taking any Hard / Gas Perm patients at this time. ? They did use their location of Austin TX quite a bit in the first red section, did that have something to do with their ranking?
  4. Thomas, The product sounds great, but I agree with the above suggestions. It's obvious from your copy that you understand the frustrations companies go through. I hate using catch phrases, but maybe making use of bullet points would help separate your pain points. Putting them just above the features of your software will help keep your readers in flow? I'd like to see what you come up with. Like I mentioned, the product sounds great!
  5. LOL... thank you! Rule # 1 for new kids.. don't derail a thread! oops. Good info, thanks. I really like the 2-3 paragraphs suggestion. While experimenting today I noticed my text was too far across the page. I prefer the look of block rather than spread out. Took me a while but I figured out how to widen the right side bar. Fixed. Somewhere in the page on content, do you recommend an image type thing for call to action? Like, sign up for my newsletter, free report and such? I've seen that done and wondering if it's a good thing? I also like the floating subscribe dohicky but I have to figure that one out. Lou
  6. I had better bring two then. The day I have ahead of me is at least a 6-pack. I do have a real question. When setting up your website, is there a rule of thumb about how much content and then maybe an ad or image to break it up? I have no plans on having one of those sites that's so full of stupid ads that you wait until the sucker loads and struggle to actually read the content. I just don't want my pages to look like one big long text. Lou
  7. When's lunch and how much is the beer around here? P.S. Thanks!
  8. Thank you Mike. This has been an interesting adventure. I'm not a kid anymore and my technical skills are crap at best. I have been lurking around certain forums trying to find the information I need, or a place I felt comfortable asking. A friend of mine told me about this place. I really appreciate the atmosphere here. Lou
  9. Starting my new adventure of online bazillionaire-ism. Just kidding. I saw this challenge and admittedly it is one of my biggest obstacles. I want to start creating info products and marketing them. The products will be featured on my new blog. Ideally, I'd like to have at least two done by the end of March, so that's what I'm going to shoot for. I'm not all that confident in my writing skills and/or my formatting skills. I supposed that is how one learns. Lou
  10. Hey all. I signed up a while back. I've been reading posts, learning and taking steps to get my online business going. 1) What will you start doing in 2018 that you are not doing in 2017? 2017 brought on some difficult changes for me. Because of them, I started my online journey. So, to answer the question, I'll be doing my best to implement what I've learned instead of learning. 2) What will you stop doing in 2018 that you are currently doing in 2017? This one is easy. I'm going to stop thinking I need to know everything before I actually start. I have started and tackled most of the learning curve. Most of them. I'm looking forward to learning, here, and hoping that my new kid shine will wear off eventually. Lou
