  1. Hi Mike and other members, I am interested in building my first PBN or private network sites and going through the Spartan Training Course materials. In particular, I like the plan that Mike presented in his post here about monetizing some of the PBN sites, or PN sites. I am brand new to this and am still trying to list out the action steps to focus on. Please help me understand these points: 1) Private network sites are sites where we search out expired domains with a good link profile and then rebrand and place new content on them than is relevant to our niche. Then, we have have links on these sites back to our money site. Is this correct? 2) How many private network sites is it normal to build? I know "network" means more than 1 site, but since I am starting from ground zero, I figured that even 1 site would have an impact. It also makes this project less daunting for me. Knowing what you know now, if you were starting out like a newbie, how many sites would you build? 3) I see there are people selling expired Tumblr domains with Domain Authority. What do you think of this idea of buying expired tumblr domains and making it part of your private network? Have you tried using these? Thanks for any comments and tips!
  2. I've asked this on WF, but I want to ask you guys here as well. If I write an article on an existing client website targeting a specific keyword/phrase query and answering it (to Google's liking) will it be better than an entire niche site (glorified PBN site?) that is wrapped around that same keyword/phrase? Which is better? I know the main client site should be properly built, which I would see to, but what is a better use of my time? Could the single article be better than part or whole of the niche website?
  3. Hello everyone. Regarding obtaining domains for a PBN, how do you scrape for domains? I've heard this term and way about going getting domains, but don't know how to do it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Btw, thank you all for the valuable content on here, you all have been truly a blessing, especially the gentleman that set this site up and all of the veterans that contribute and moderate for useful and quality content.
  4. NEW to the site thought I would introduce a little. I have been out of the SEO world for quite a while (busy completing my studies). Will be starting job soon and I will definitely have some cash to invest. Earlier, I'd say two-three years ago. I tested PBN. I bought around 8 domains through godaddy auctions after researching them through expireddomains.net / majestic for backlinks. I kind of relied on the Page rank system, eventhough it was DEAD (non-updated) as it is today (non-existent), but it still gave me an idea what domains to go after and research more and do a backlink check. Plus, also did some Legit Guest posting on Real Active niche sites and other Link building such as getting on niche blogroll lists. It did work My website ranked for around 4-5 keywords (very closely related - ~2500 Monthly Search each) going up to 1st page around 5th position and to this day it is still ranking around 10-15 position on Google.com (US) My question is two fold: (1) are there any other ways (efficient, reliable, good ) to finding expired domains beside using sites like expireddomains OR domcop? If there is, Is it TOP secret? (2) If you did find some domains, How would you approach on figuring out if the sites are worth much and are they authoritative. What metrics should I be looking at.
  5. Before I started creating legit mini-sites/buffer sites/lead gen sites, I dabbled in the PBN trade. I still have two networks, one consisting of 20 sites/blogs, the other has 8. The majority of the sites have PR1-2 (yes that doesn't matter now, but it did then) and fairly decent DA. That said, they don't seem to show up on my client backlink profiles which is odd to me. Granted, they aren't near as slick as the sites I make now or as well-made. Is it possible these PBN sites are effecting my clients' rankings? I still have some page 1 results, but I feel like there's a barrier I'm hitting because not all of the KW I'm targeting are near there. I'm not here to argue the merits of buffer and mini-sites, but simply to ask about my old PBN, which is prob not built like Fort Knox.
