Google fixed mobile index caching issue

Recommended Posts

Some good news for SEOs out there.

Just saw this reported at SERoundTable. Google has fixed it mobile index cache issue.

Since they started moving to their mobile first index, there has been an issue with the cache version of pages not showing up. Not all of them, but many of them.

I use the cache version extensively for SEO, especially the text-only version. I was greatly missing it.

It's also often a good way to see if a site has been hacked. Often times the hackers hide a lot of their content, but it will show up in the text-only version.

It's about freaking time. I can't believe they let this bug go on this long.

It has always been one of my favorite tools to use.

The text-only version was especially useful in explaining to web designers why their code sucked.
